Good job the the Chetwynd Berm Busterz. Track was sick! Crazy kamikaze feet off the pegs style battles. Mud moto's. The great equilizer. Just goes to show that anyone can holeshot and win riding the mud on "Any Given Sunday". And just keepin' it on two wheels is a feat in itself. What a crazy Vet start.I'm sure glad I was on the left side of the box when the gate dropped. Big ups to "Dariahandro" for bustin' some GaGa moves providing some entertainment between moto's. Mitch's stereo was just what we needed in between motos to keep it fun as I seen quite a few racers dancin' at the line. Aaron "homeslice" Hommy was a partaker in the festivities. Good to see the resident president having fun too! Beavertown. September 12. Be there.

Big thanks to the Worsley sponsors and all the families/racers that came out to enjoy the day. No accidents!!Awesome!! Couple bike motors decided to let go this weekend due to some gremlins cruizin the pits going eeny meeny miny moe. Dogfights, battles and more catfights. Some unreal action out on the track. These last few motos are going to be INTENSE. Worsley is really turning out to be a great venue. Especially ending the day @ the Fireside Lounge and doing some bench racing & swappin' stories about the day.Good times.Chetwynd Round 9.Be there!
Good luck to Leethal Mundt in his Baja Race.

I've received a few inquiries as to when camping will be available for the Chetwynd race. We invite everyone to show up on Friday late afternoon/evening. Due to the extremely dry summer, we will be waiting until the last minute to shape up the track so we lose minimal amount of moisture. Shaping the track at the last minutes means there will be heavy equipment coming ang going and the least amount of people around just makes things safer for everybody.
Also if the weather remains dry, a campfire ban will be in effect. We have had fire bans in the past but some have chose to ignore this. If this happens again this year, the fire bugs may not be able to race. Please respect the clubs wishes, everybody is aware of the situation.
If anybody has any questions, you can call me at 250 401 1899
See you guys soon!

First off we would like to thank everyone for their help and pactience. A special thanks to the EMS, the Worsley fire department and STARS. Peter is still in the Grande Prairie hospital. He is doing allot better althought he has lost 20 lbs. He went in with a bruised lung, a lacerated liver and a smashed kidney. Its been 12 days and he can now eat regular food, the internal bleeding has basicly stopped, he is off oxygen, and just about off the morphine. Pete had a CT scan the other day and we are waiting to here from the doctors. Everthing is going in the right direction. So if your in GP stop by, Pete would love to talk shop (motorcross).

I would like to thank the Worsley Motocross Club and their volunteers for a great race weekend!I Had a blast on the track, and despite the few set backs the race ran smooth and made up an immense amount of time. You all put on a great show. I also wanted to recognize the MAPLE family! All of you are setting a great example of sportsmanship, Myriah and Jordan are always at the line wishing everyone goodluck, sharing their wisdom on track conditions, and more than willing to help in anyway. Calvin always has riding tips, and always out on the track cheering on everyone. You guys are always enthusiastic and its family's like you that make the track a great environment to be at! Please be on the lookout for a stolen 2008 KTM 250 SX-F. The bike was stolen from our garage in Peace River sometime during the evening of July 14 or early morning hours of July 15th. The bike number plates are #107 and decalled by LimeNine with Countryside Motorsports written all over. The bike has orange Fatbar handlebars and Factory Suspension stickers on the forks which make the bike fairly unique. I am prepared to pay a substantial reward for its immediate return. However, the supersluth culprit left a coat behind at the scene with receipts in the pockets. We(Police) are currently tracing those receipts. Sentencing will likely be more lenient if he turns himself in asap.

I was very impressed with the Worsley club and the organization of the event. When we arrived, we were given the registration forms at the gate and where we travelled from and Welcomed with a smile. The fact that we were given our registration forms at the gate was impressive and I believe it helped the ladies at the tower alot and made for a quicker registration process. Great job and organization to those who put in a hours of time preparing for the event and what a great track you have. Me and my kids had an amazing day. Looking forward to the next Worsley Race.

Just wanna say thanks to everyone who helped out before, during and after Worsley Round 6. The track held up nice, long a** moto's in the morning and we were still done by 6:30 !!. Injuries were low which is what we aim for! Couple of bike motors expired during the day but that's racin' !!! Thanks to the water crew and flaggers, you guys did a fantastic job. Lots of classes are tight and these last few races of the year are going to be intersting. Seen lot's of smiles on the track and in the pits. Good to see everyone having fun. Cheers and fifth gears.

I must say to all of you that you are doing a wonderful job. Beaverlodge was almost error free and we (the techies) are able to fix almost anything to date. There were very few corrections to make this race so Cathy and I were able to watch the races instead of our faces 3 inches from the monitor trying to fix a grievous error. And yes, it's all up to the transponders themselves. "They" are all of the errors that appear.
I can't imagine lap counting any other way now.
I will be away on July 25th so if there is anyone out there that can give Cathy a hand in Worsley, let us know via e-mail or on July 11th.
For the clubs, we need the following: A generator (with an inverter) just for the lap counting system, someone to put the results up and of course, a place to set up.
It's taken the club almost 3 seasons to get this system up and running and we should congratulate ourselves in plowing ahead despite the obstacles and doubt. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the CMRC that they will be ready for next year but we all know how difficult it is to work the bugs out.
The PMA is a fine example of change and progression so my hat's off to you! Oh, and thanks for your patience and forgiveness.

I would like to start off by saying a great big thanks to the Beaverlodge club members that came out to help pull the race off this last weekend, I am sorry if I seem a little negitive to the ones that don't feel they have the time to come out and help but for those people that do not come out and help, you just might find that you are the reason some clubs don't host more than one race next year if even host one at all??? We all have jobs too, remember it is for the kids and some of us adults, moving forward...I am really glad to see the support for the transponders as we move forward, I hear tons of positive feedback as we see the advantage of the system, also I did notice some negativity in the pits to start out the year & I do think it had alot to do with the transpondors but as the year goes on I am seeing alot of possitive come back, that is so great, remember we are part of the best motocross accociation in Canada, it is great to see everybody using the website as much as they are for great comments. I remember it was not that long ago we could hardly scrape up enough bikes to have a quad class or a ladies class, now look at it...awsome, for all the riders that went down to Raymond, good luck and bring home the money, you always represent the PMA well, that's it for now...keep ur stick on the ice and the rubber side down.
Cheers: Rick & Lori Leitner

Just wanted to send a big thanks out again to all involved in getting me the thottle cable set I needed to get me racing on Sunday. I discovered I had a frayed cable on saturday night/ after hours of course, and wasn't sure if sunday for me was going to be a go. Luckily after asking around Aaron's dad Lori was nice enough to pick one up for me and get me going, thus saving my race day. So thanks again to all involed, it just goes to show how much the PMA cares about getting racers out there and the sport! Sunday ended up being an awesome raceday and the track held up really well, the Beaverlodge club put on a great event, and hope to see everyone out @ Worsley!

Another great day of racing is done. for the most part i was impressed, the track really came together compared to what it was when we pulled in. could have done without the dust. complete shot in the dark were you were going sometimes but thats all part of it. i just wanted to thanks everyone, the track marshall being everywere keeping an eye and for his help getting cory off the track after the second super mini. even taking some blame not knowing the condition of that second bush corner and not getting the cat dont there at intermision, hats off to him. anyone and everyone that came down to check him out, help keep his mind elsewere and off the pain. with the medical attention being poor at best and by all rights should have been out of there a half hour sooner than he was. wehter you stoped in the check up or stayed a bit to help with the skitters it made a world of diffrence to a guy in a world of pain.
from what i hear he came over that little drop, hit a hole and was kind enough to let the bike use him as a cushion. what i know at this moment he broke his hip, stayed overnight in FSJ, most probably will be moved to dawson today for surgery. he did an awesome job of bitting the pain on a very rough handling job let alone a rough right back up. coutos to him and again thank to everyone for there help , we wish him a speedy recouvery and hope to see him back soon

Just thought i would let you all know that my family and i figured we would go to the island and race a couple of races. We went to campbell river last weekend and had a great time. they all figured they had a great turnout, in fact one of the best in quite a while... 200!! YUP, THAT IS IT. they brag about how fast and how big their club is here, but it is not near as big as the pma. great group of people as most motocross guys are. they were blown away by the fact that we get over 300 entries. we brought jon sharp with us and he ended up blowing up his bike in the 25+ class and used mine for the last moto. he won the intermediate class and would have ended up top 2 in 25+. My speed demon ryeley won both 50cc motos and brennan on his first 65cc year got a 7th and 6th. i got a 3rd and 4th in vet master. It was pretty funny as the announcer kept talking about how these palfis come all the way down from dawson and never rode the track and were doing so well... i made sure they mentioned the pma lots and were well aware of the fact that we have some great riders from there. In fact, a lot of the people we got to know knew all about our club and how good we are. Anyhow, we are going to race in victoria this weekend and probably nanaimo next weekend since it is snowing up there!!! So if anyone ever wonders about the cmrc, it doesnt compare to the pma. we are extremely lucky up there with the club we have. these guys down here know about it now!!!

Thanks to the person who stole from the used parts table we had set up at the GP race. The one brand new piece (yz450f head pipe DRD) there and you had to steal it! It was all set out on the honor system, but I guess you have no honor. If you needed it that bad all you had to do was come ask and you could have had it. Just ask, we all help each other out in the PMA.

On Sunday I was at the motocross with my grandson Parker who is 3. As we sat watching the races there was a boy about 12- 13 years old sitting beside us. He was cheering on his friends, gesturing with thumbs up and waves of his arms. Parker sat watching with great interest. This boy, I believe, over the roar of engines told us his name was Colton , this may not be right. I want to acknowledge this boy with the motocross association for the extra time he took with my grandson. He went out of his way to make Parker as much of his day as his race was to him. After he left us to get ready for his race, Parker caught sight of him. The boy looked over and waved a thumbs up to Parker and then waved for us to come over. He took the time before his race to show Parker his bike, his riding gear and even asked if I wanted to meet his mother. He then offered to let Parker sit on his bike and we took pictures. Parker would wave to every biker as they passed hoping for a wave, but this boy was the only one who took the time. He may have inspired a future biker! While he sat on the start line we sat up on the hill watching. Now here is a young man who's heart was probably pounding with anticipation, but still numerous times, looked up on the hill to wave and give thumbs up to Parker who now refers to this boy as "his friend". He may only be three but this day will last him a lifetime perhaps not in memories but in the way this young man's generosity and the way he treated Parker, I am sure will be paid forward.

1st of all I would really like to say good luck and hats off to the new executive that has stepped up to the plate, I think we have a great mix of exerience all through the executive, thank you to Mr. King for helping with the website as it looks great, just a note on the transponders, it does take some time to get them here and if everybody waits until the last min. to order that there might be a good chance you will not have your transponder for the 1st race

I will be seeking out two people from the Worsley club next race date to run the electronic timing system. No time like the present to start training others...as I could not be at the Grande Prairie race. Please don't be intimated by the system and yes I am approachable...even though at times it appears that I am not!
I'm hoping that everyone in the 125 Int./Expert class reads this message as the last race is coming up. This means that I am requesting all of the rental transponders be returned to me at the end of this race with the box, both charges, cradle, clip and transponder. We have extra clips so for those who have misplaced theirs for a small fee of $5.00. Other parts? We don't have any in stock but will order extra pieces that are missing at a cost to you. Please try your best to give them back.
The transponders will be for sale and would make an excellent Christmas present for those that plan to race next year! The sooner we sell these ones, the sooner we can order more so be sure to get one as soon as you can. Plus, it will save a whole lot of grief next spring...
Thanks Jacqui
ps. If there are any other lap counters from other clubs that are interested in learning how to run the system, now's the time. I promise it will be painless :)
